Hey presto I guarantee people will start to have a lot more fun since they won't be constantly slayed by heavy spam in every game. |

but at the moment i don't really have any problems with any other guns, i use Viziam prof 5 with 2 complex damage mods, most things don't survive against that.
the HMG doesn't give you the slightest chance at retaliation and are spammed relentlessly in CQC preventing some domination games to be over before they had even started. If you're always within their optimum range trying to push into an objective then you never have the advantage over them and get shredded.

They are for point defense. They should have the highest DPS in the game inside 20 Meters. Get two or three people and attack from separate angles. A Heavy doesn't have time to respond to people in different locations attacking. I get smashed on a regular basis when people use tactics in the exact situation you are describing. If there is only 1 point of entry, use grenades/RE's etc. and don't try to solo a Sentinel running a scout/assault suit in CQC situations.
it's not so much my tactics per se, it's the entire team's inability to push through and being dominated by what's basically, a brick wall in the way, it's like a dead-end whilst driving your car. your mates can't get signal on their phones to find an alternative route and you're sat there frustrated. You have power, but you need help.
The distraction/double team technique does work magically, as you say, but right now objectives are becoming inaccessible and games very one-sided due to optimum range from the HMG and not being able to penetrate the objective.
One merc can only do so much. Me + randoms VS 6 or more heavies does not make for a fun game. If I could actually engage in longer firefights with them then I feel it would be much more fair. They just drop you too fast regardless, domination however is where I find the issue most prevalent. |

My problem is being FORCED into CQC with an HMG when trying to get into most objectives; that's where I see the issue of the HMG TTK at its' height. If you can't fight outside its' optimum range you will get destroyed, especially when facing multiple heavies with a useless squad.
I think Domination in itself is a poor game mode but that's another thread for another time. |

They will still be lethal, just not as lethal, you can nerf something by 1% you know. A slight nerf to not make them destroy you in half a second does not cripple the entire suit. |
